Exclusive access to premium content!The Ujayyi Breath is a pranayama practiced often on the yoga mat, but you don't have to desire to participate in the latter in order to benefit from the former.
This type of breath is an audible-sounding breath that works with restricting the throat to control the flow of breath, as you breathe in and out of the nose.
Doing so helps you to enhance focus, with multiple sensory inputs to catch your attention and help you anchor in, and helps to create a sense of calm, with the breath often found to be soothing and useful in slowing down the deepening of the breath in and out.
