This mindfulness practices uses a simple practice with your fingers to help you focus while you take deeper, more intentional diaphragmatic breaths.

Sometimes our mind will want to reach out and grab for anything else while we attempt to do a breathing practice, so this is simply a tool to help you ground that focus in a little more.

This can be done with eyes opened or closed, so is available for you to utilise in many situations. For those who may not have access to their hands or fingers, you could substitute moving the fingers for something like placing gentle pressure on your body, or using items as your anchors to focus your gaze on while you breathe - depending on how you need to adjust the practice to make it accessible for you.
